As part of the Culpeper Air Fest, a flyover honoring disabled American Veterans is scheduled for Friday Saturday @ lunchtime. If you are in the National Capital Region, look to the sky at lunchtime on Friday Saturday...

On Friday October 10th, 2014 at approximately 12:30 pm there will be a large flyover of the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery by approximately thirty (30) World War II aircraft. The aircraft formation will include a B-25 bomber, P-51 Mustang and approximately 28 T-6 Texans. During the flyover "performance smoke" may be utilized as part of the demonstration.
The flight will originate from Culpepper, VA and the route will take this formation flight near Manassas, Woodbridge, VA, Clinton, MD, Oxon Hill, Andrews Air Force Base, and then over the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery. The formation will then return to Culpeper as it flies over Arlington, VA, Annandale, Burke, and Manassas. This flight has been coordinated with the Federal Aviation Administration, DOD and DHS.

This is the Pentagon Force Protection Agency with a flyover message. The Flyover has been put on hold due to rain. Aircraft are turning around heading back to the field. If the weather changes they MAY try again later. If you have any questions, please contact 703-697-1001.

Thanks! I honestly didn't think they would be flying given the weather and viz. It was driving me nuts because all I could think was that there is no way I wouldn't hear that many war birds even if I couldn't see them.
